Buckeye’s Season Debut
The Ohio State Buckeyes pull off a Top 25 victory over the Notre Dame Fighting Irish after a rough first half, offensively and defensively.
Ohio State was a 17 point favorite coming in to Saturday’s game against the Fighting Irish, but started the game slow on offense. CJ Stroud had some struggles getting the ball down field to his receivers. Notre Dame’s offense blow by Ohio State’s defense before halftime. Making the Buckeyes look mediocre at best during the half. It looked like Notre Dame had a better team after a 10 – 7 lead at halftime.
The Buckeyes did come out in the second half and shut out the Fighting Irish 14 – 0. Finishing the game 21 – 10 earning the first win of the season and against at Top 5 BCS opponent.
During the second half of play Ohio State did look better offensively and pretty much dominated the game on the defensive end. The Ohio State Buckeyes pull off a Top 25 victory over the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Where do you see Ohio State at the end of the season? Do you see National Championship? They can only get better as the season goes on, and still my favorite to win the BCS National Championship.
There was an appearance by Lebron & Bronny James at the game in which there were chants of “We want Bronny” blaring across the stadium as they looked on and smiled. Not sure if Ohio State has made an offer to Bronny but I know Michigan has. I think Ohio State would be a great option for Bronny to play in College. We will see what happens with that in the near future. There was also an appearance by Jerome Bettis (Notre Dame Alum) and Ezekiel Elliott (Ohio State Alum). We will bring you more in-depth game recaps though out the season here on WinorloseShow.com

Cowboys Grit Through Back-to-Back Wins
The Dallas Cowboys pulled off back-to-back gritty wins, defeating the Giants 20-15 in Week 4 and securing a last-second 20-17 victory over the Steelers in Week 5. In both games, Dak Prescott had his ups and downs, starting slow against the Steelers with two interceptions but delivering when it mattered most, leading two late touchdown drives, including the game-winner to Jalen Tolbert. Despite missing key defensive players, Dallas held Justin Fields and the Steelers to 17 points.
Looking Ahead to Week 6 vs. the Lions:
The Cowboys face a tough matchup against a high-powered Lions offense led by Jared Goff and a dynamic rushing attack. Detroit’s offensive line is one of the best in the league, making it crucial for Dallas’ pass rush, even with injuries, to find ways to disrupt the rhythm.
Defensive Adjustments:
Coach Mike McCarthy and defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer will need to focus on:
- Run Defense: Contain the Lions’ ground game, especially against their explosive running backs.
- Secondary Play: Tighten up coverage to limit big plays from Detroit’s playmakers like Amon-Ra St. Brown.
- Health Monitoring: Navigating key injuries will be critical. Depth players will need to step up, especially in the secondary.
Offensive Adjustments:
- Early Consistency: Dak needs to avoid early-game turnovers to prevent the team from playing from behind.
- Run-Game Balance: Establish the run early to control the clock and keep Detroit’s offense off the field.
- Utilizing Weapons: Spread the ball among playmakers like CeeDee Lamb and Jalen Tolbert, who’s building chemistry with Dak after the Steelers game-winning catch.
The Cowboys will need a complete team effort and sharp adjustments to secure a win in Detroit, a team that is clicking offensively this season.
